Non traditional Valentine tutorial

Early Happy Valentine's Day!  Today I made a video tutorial as a Guest Designer with Whimsy Stamps.  I wanted to create a non traditional colored romantic card that SHE could give to HIM.  Several of the products used have a more masculine feel to them to begin with but they follow a very romantic feel to them that brought this project together beautifully.

The video tutorial is available on my You Tube Channel here . . . . .

I had an opportunity to blend three water based inks together to color the project.  I used some wonderful argyle border and dot border stamps with a distressed blot.  The background stamps containing Love and Life and that wonderful Feather and Nib die. Watch how simple it is.

 INGREDIENTS:
Parisian Romance Stamp set
"You" LDRS sentiment stamp (inside)

 MEDIUMS:
Stampin' Up Night of Navy, Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue

EMBELLISHMENTS:
Wink of Stella

Today is so very Gilded!

I'm posting a CHA Die project today!  The Gilded Doily, Gilded Oval Set and the Gilded Labels Die set too!  These dies are so coordinated, feminine and dainty, they were perfect with the new All Dressed Up "Looking Gorgeous" stamps.  All of these BRAND NEW products are shipping early February!!

The Sentiment is from the new "Best Friends" set also available in February!  It's all about the Little Things after all!! Right??
The Gilded Oval Die is a perfect accent die!!  Covered with just a bit of crystal bling!
                                                                MEDIUMS:
                                                        Copics: E13,11,00 R32,30,20
                                                                        Y11,E43,57
                                                                        RV63,55,52
I stamped the image 3 times and cut a few little pieces to pop up on the image to give her a bit more dimension.
                                                EMBELLISHMENTS:
                                                              Recollection crystals

                                                hand colored bias ribbon LittleScrapShop
                                                   Beaded pin from Little ScrapShop
Last but not least, the small inside piece to the three piece Gilded Oval die set, it's perfect for behind sentiments or in any little section that just needs a bit more Gilded look!

Best digital design paper sets ever!

Hello Crafty Peeps!  Have you ever run across a digital product that made you look twice??  Well, if you're like me, the majority of stamping and card making products I play with aren't digital!!  HOWEVER, if you haven't seen the digital design papers from my old Whimsy Stamps pal Michele Roos, you don't know what your missing!!

Her designs are Shabby and Vintage for the most part, but there are some collections that are darker and richer colored just like I like em!  You can find her Etsy Store here.  I simply had to play with them all!!  So, I've joined the design team!!  Today's is my first DT project and I can only say, I adore these collections!!!
This is the glorious "Isabella" papers!!  They were a perfect match for the red headed beauty.  You can shop till your hearts content for beautiful papers with coordinating inserts, which make card making so easy!  They have elements files included with lovely bows, pennants, tags and envelopes!!  One stop card making shop!! Here's a link

So very simple to create the inside of the project with the included insert and one of the lovely already coordinated sentiments! I hand cut a doily from an insert page to pop into the center of the card, placed one of the Isabella tags and envelope pockets under it, just off to the side. I even included the tickets inside the envelope!! The last and final touch was the delightful pennants behind the focal point and that wonderful little bow under the image.

INGREDIENTS:

Stamping with Die Cuts!

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday?  Here at my home, we enjoyed a blessed visit with my mom from Florida and enjoyed the world famous chicken from Frankenmuth's Bavarian Inn!  No fuss, no muss!!
INGREDIENTS:
Kraft stock
Enchanted Wishes Vintage Affections Sentiment
My Minds Eye DP

Today's project uses the Fluttered Tulip Bodice die from LDRS Creative!  This is a two piece die set because when you cut the bodice, you also get a little swirly tulip vine from within the center of the bodice.  I cut three of the tulip vines out of grunge board, glued them together to create an item with depth that could hold up to all of the ink I wanted to use with it.

MEDIUMS:
VersaMark
Color Bok Winter White
Crafter's Ink Turquois
Kraft paper with versa mark first, then I used some colored inks to add more dimension to the kraft stock.   A bit of Wink of Stella glitter in some small sections of the project, then in the end, I placed some gauze behind the bodice that was popped up and the little tulip swirl used for stamping with was added back to the bodice with some diamond dust.

EMBELLISHMENTS:
Pearls
Gauze
Wink of Stella glitter

INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
