Girls Rule

Good Morning!  I'm sharing the beautiful Saturated Canary Stamp today named Gothica!  She's spicy and dreamy at the same time!  She also it the epitome of what a girl is!  Sweet, innocent, dreamy eyed and spicy at the same time!

If you'd like to win this beautiful stamp, please leave a message on my blog here and I'll draw a winner on April 20th!

I gathered some school like numbered DP from My Minds Eye along with some of my favorite dies to enhance Gothica today.  The Darling Square Die set center die, the flowers and the vines were double layered and crystals were added to sparke this project up.  I've also used the sentiment circle from the same set and then I used the Dewdrop Border to add some dimension on the side of the card.  It's full of dew drops and spots that add a ton of texture and then I embossed the Lovely View Die too in order to add some texture to the other side of the card.

INGREDIENTS:
My Minds Eye DP the Dancer
Recollections Aqua Screen DP

A real pleasure to color and sparkle up!  Gothica was perfect to use with the sentiment Girls Rule!  She's ruling the day for certain.

Come Gentle Spring . . .

It's another crafty Wednesday for me!  And no, it's not an April fools trick! lol  Tammy Louise here showing you "Lisbeth and Chick".  Illustrated by  Milk Coffee from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  I pulled out my Derwent Inkstense pencils again and created a "some what" clean and simple card again today.  I'm really getting into CAS and multi media canvas lately!

This cutie pie is adorable in her springy pinks and blues attempting to collect those adorable little chicks for her Easter party!  I've decided to combine one of the sweetest, and easy to color background stamps to this one called "Birdbath".  I think it just added the perfect touch to the white space available!  A bit of shiny bows and some coordinated Washi tape and done!

Hello!

Howdie!  Today this sweet little image called Love From Sugar is blowing some lovely little heart shaped kises in my Derwent Inktense pencil colors!  Sugar has been invited to be showcased over at the wonderfully popular Passionate Paper Creations fb page by the lovely Rhea the host of the page.

As I mentioned earlier, I colored her with my Derwent Inktense Pencils and some water then placed some hair lines finely throughout the hair again with my .005 black Pigma Micron pen for some texture.  I used my Noor window die, cut the top woodlike frame off the top of the die and glued it to the side of the window section so this gives it more of a gate like feel!  She's walking through a sunny field of grass blowing some love!

On Your Special Day!

It's Tuesday here in Michigan and it's warming up to be a very pleasant spring!  As a matter of fact, we've taken the plastic off the windows and opened the screens a few time!  Un heard of around here! teehee
I'm flying out to Florida tonight for my daughter first of two bridal showers.  Her fiance's family is from Florida so they are having one down there for them and the other here in Michigan later in the summer for us Northerners! lol
This image is so full of life and spirit, I thought she would be perfect for the shower card for my daughter!  Her name is Jessie's Summer Garden and she is one of my favorites from the Candi Bean line from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps!

Simple but elegant card today, I've used a bright and cheerful Washi tape from Recollections and cut out the Darling View die as well as stamping on some again for her cute little summer dress!  Also, I put some of the Washi tape down and cut some of the individual flowers to layer together and add some dimension to the card!   I found a set of Fine Art Pastel pencils by Cretacolor at a hobby shop that was closing down last summer and today I decided to see how they would work!  With a stumping pencil and two tones for each object, they worked out beautifully!  I may have to switch my choice of mediums for a while!  lol

INGREDIENTS:
Core'dinations white smooth A7 cards

 MEDIUMS:
Fine Art Pastel pencils by Creatacolor
Distress Ink
Stazon black for inking on the washi tape
Momento for the image to color

Whimsical Moments

Video Tutorial to follow on my You Tube channel

Happy Sunday!  I'm certainly enjoying the mixed media on canvas craze!  It's such a messy, inky and forgiving artistic outlet for me.  You literally can't make a mistake!  There is no limit to the possibilities with embellishments, techniques and color!

Today, I've made a very whimsical canvas that includes stamping, acrylic paint, buttons, bobbles, texture past and templates!  However, the best thing about today's project is that I've chosen to include some of my favorite die cuts as a center piece!  That's right!  I could go out and purchase loads of chipboard collections (of which I may like one or two pieces from) or I could use my favorite die cuts!

I simply cut more than one of the dies and glue them together to create my equivalent of chipboard!  It's so fun and limitless in the range of possibilities!

INGREDIENTS:

Vintage Affections Sentiment Enchanted Wishes
Craft Paper for die cuts and corrugated board
DCWV template, The Crafters Workshop mini butterflies template, Heidi Swapp stencil

This project turned out like a dreamy super lush memory from childhood.  You know the kind that you are most fond of?  It's springy and full of texture, color and movement.

 MEDIUMS:

Acrylic Paints
Gesso heavy white
Texture Paste
Tattered Angels glitter spray
Studio G Pigment Ink, liquid pearls, beads in a bottle
Inka Gold in pink and silver

JUST LOOK AT ALL THIS TEXTURE!  YUM!

 EMBELLISHMENTS:

The little Craft shop Etsy store for butterflies, stick pins and pearl accent
Make It Crafty chipboard
bits and bobs from stash including lace and gears
Whimsy Stamps flowers
WOC flowers

INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

The miracle is this, the more we share; the more we have
Leonard Nemoy

I hope I've inspired you all today to get out your inks (even old acrylic paints you could use in dollar store spray bottles like mine).  Enjoy the textures, the combination of inks, the creativity of design and most of all, the smile you get when you're done!
