Joy with TLC

A quick project today full of color and a bit of seasonal touch!  I chose two of the birds on the NEW Peaceful Dove Edge Die from LDRS Creative!  Also, the little JOY sentiment is from the seasonal Winter Cheer Sentiment collection sold only through HSN!

I started covering my chipboard initials several months ago with the L.  Today, I decided to decorate the T!  Some of the cutest washi tape with some flowers, die cuts and Jewels and it's complete!  In the background I used one of the small dies in the Majestic Frame die set.

INGREDIENTS:
MEDIUMS:
Memento Black ink

EMBELLISHMENTS:
WOC flowers

INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

I Believe . . . Do You?

Happy Sunday all! I'm sharing my latest card for 7 Kids College Fund.  Yes!  I'm back with the NEW 7Kids Store and I'm LOVING it!  I'ts going to give me a reason to post weekly again and be sure to step away from the graphic, die and stamp designing for a few hours and believe you me, I need to stay inky and crafty!  lol

Before I get to my card, I want to remind you that you still have a few more days to enter our current ANYTHING GOES Challenge on Challenge Blog! Be sure to link up for a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids College Fund Store!!
I decided to step away from coloring with this project!  NO coloring!!! I decided to stencil with paste, emboss stamp and use several fabulous dies I've recently designed that you can find in the 7 kids College Fund Store!

Just dies, stencil, decorative chipboard, a bit of clay work, feathers and patterned paper. The stamp is from Stampendous called Cling Snowy Postcard which I embossed in blue.  The sentiment is from the Merry Christmas HSN exclusive collection.  The chipboard is from Wycinanka, which I've fallen hard for!  lol  And the stencil is by Tim Holtz!

I cut the Peaceful Dove Edge die 3 times, once in grey toned paper, once in kraft for the branches and once again for the Doves in white.  Layered them and then rubbed them with Deco Arts Snowtex giving it a great sense of a snowy night.

INGREDIENTS:
Studio Calico Wood Venier Birds
Wycinanka clock chipboard

MEDIUMS:
Ranger Distress Ink: Vintage Photo, Faded Jeans
Copic ink R29 on birds
Faber-Castell Copper Texture Luxe

EMBELLISHMENTS:
Stickles
Snowtex
Natural Jule Ribbon Boutique
Petaloo Pins
Martha Stewart clay leaf mold
Studio pearls
Really Reasonable Ribbon twine
Now, be sure to head over to the 7 Kids College Fund Store to check out all the amazing products you can purchase to add to your crafty collection!

JOY to this world!

Today's the DAY!  Yes!  I finally get to post a project again! lol  Winter is coming fast and I'm gearing up to get some special cards made for some of my special friends and family.  Not to mention, we're getting some of the projects ready for the annual CHA booth!  Phoenix Arizona in January!  I'm excited to go again to see all of the fantastic new products and to enjoy the time with the crafty peeps there!  Make n Take time again!  Yeah!

This project uses my two new die designs, the Peaceful Dove Edge die and the Pear Tree Partridge die too!  I cut them and added some extra color and glossy accents and glitter to them.  They are so versatile and they hold up so well!  It also has the Gilded Oval Label die that is used as the frame for the image and then I stamped and colored the birds twice for this project and popped up the birds for extra dimension.  I hope you enjoy it and stop by for a visit at the LDRS Creative store and see what you'd like to create with, the selection is fantastic!

INGREDIENTS:

"Nesting" Dollhouse image

Copic Ink:  E00,11,21 for skin tones

Ranger Distress ink Chipped Sapphire

EMBELLISHMENTS:
Bo Bunny Altitude Paper
The Twinery Lilac
Poppies and Paperie flowers blue and purple from The Paper Studios
My Little Christmas Metal Stars
INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

"What has happened to the old-fashioned, spiritual Christmas? The cause is our disregard of Advent. The church set aside this four-week pre-Christmas season as a time of spiritual preparation for Christ’s coming. It is a time of quiet anticipation. If Christ is going to come again into our hearts, there must be repentance. Without repentance, our hearts will be so full of worldly things that there will be ‘no room in the inn’ for Christ to be born again.…we have the joy of anticipation."

Tutorial die cut with foil

Good morning!  Tammy Louise with you sharing a LDRS Creative video tutorial!  I've fallen in love with the technique that makes your die cuts shine and shimmer with craft foil!

INGREDIENTS:
I will share some steps with you here as well, ready?  Grab a pen!

1. Choose your favorite LDRS Creative die

2. Emboss some card stock with clear, fine embossing powder.  A large enough area to cut with your die choice

3. Heat up your powder on the stock and cut your die out

4. Cut a square of foil large enough to cover the embossed and heat dried die cut and place the die cut down (embossed side up), place the shiny side foil up on top of the die and place them inside parchment or printer paper with a fold so that the paper creates a creased folder.

5. Heat up your lamination machine and place the scored edge of parchment/computer paper through!

That's all there is to it!  When you've run it through, the heat and pressure melt the embossing powder again and it adheres to the foil!  Peel your die cut away from the foil and it's done!  You've gotta try it!  It's a stunning technique!

MEDIUMS:
Close to my Heart - Pomagranate

EMBELLISHMENTS:
Recollections Pearls
WOC Pearl Brad

Gilded Bow

Happy crafty Tuesday from me, Tammy Louise sharing also today at the LDRS Creative inspirations blog!!!!  I have a new tutorial to share with you today using the smallest die piece in the new 3 die Gilded Oval set available now in the store!

I used the smallest die to create this dainty and frilly bow that coordinates beautifully with the Gilded Embossing folder!  Other products used in this project are from the Creative Basics die line, also available now!  Basic Pierced Ovals  and the Basic Stitched Flags  were used to give some panache to this CAS project!  Lastly, the "You"sentiment set was stamped on a flag and the project is complete!

The entire Gilded product line is available now in the store in a set for an unbelievably low price!  mix and match the dies and folders and make your next CAS projects wonderfully coordinated!
