Compliments from the other side of the Sea!

Good Morning everyone!  I have participated in a few of the Secret Santa projects this Holiday season.  It was my choice to participate and receive names of a crafty person from the states instead of sending my holiday greeting over seas.  It is easier to track the package, a bit less expensive so the gift can be larger, and it can be sent a bit later!  With my schedule this year, I needed those few extra days to prepare my packages.

INGREDIENTS:

Treasured Times Vintage Santa Sentiment
Shape EZ Whale template
Shapeology wave die

I decided to make this project for all of my crafty friends over seas!  Sort of a Cyber Greeting card to bring some holiday cheer from the states!  I've created the Shape EZ Whale template and decorated it with part rubber sentiment and part home made one!  I've also created the Shape EZ Poinsettia template and paired it with a fabulous NEW set of Noor dies called Happy Holidays Christmas Ornaments Die which was perfect for that little bit of holiday bobble this project needed!

 MEDIUMS:
Momento Black Ink
Vintage Photo distress ink

 EMBELLISHMENTS:
Ranger Glossy Accents
Coated string
holly berries from stash
Stickles star dust

 INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Earth and sky, woods and fields,
lakes and rivers, the mountain and
the sea, are excellent schoolmasters,
and teach some of us more than we can
ever learn from books.

Guiding Light CHA project

Yes, yes, all of my projects this month are very ship oriented!  Tee hee!  I have an excellent reason for this!  I'm going to be on my very first cruise ship with hubby and mom and dad.  The Royal Caribbean Cruise ship called "Brilliance of The Sea".  I've paid for the litte off shore excursion, the trip is going to include a complete manucure with mom and two pre paid dinners in the on ship Italian restaurant!  Yum!

A while back I watched a tutorial on how to use a candle flame and some photo paper and rubber stamps to create this beautiful backdrop.  Again no coloring, just some beautiful coordinated dies and some string!
Easy Peasy!

Thanks so much for playing and good luck!

I've altered another dollar store frame today and used some delightful dies from the Whimsy Stamps Store.  The idea was to show off these ribbons on the inside and out of this project as I entirely covered the ledge of the frame with some beautiful satin and then made the hanger from the same ribbon.  Added a bit of a bobble for elegance and with the blue hues mixed with the browns made a leafy project that can be hung all year round!

HOP WITH ME TODAY!

It's the final day for the August Whimsy Release and I'm sharing a project with the adorable New Crissy Armstrong Stamp "Trick or Treat".  The fall season and especially the Halloween holiday has always been close to my heart because both of my darling little ones were October babies.  All of the costume making opportunities and the beautiful colors in Michigan have made some wonderful family memories for me.

Crafty Ribbons - Anything Goes
Happy Campers - use a stamp
Papercrafting Journey - Anything Goes
Baffies Kreativladen - Dog, cat
House that Stamps Built - Things with Wings
Lady Anne's Challenge - Anything Goes
Penny's Paper Crafting - Dies/Punches
I made the cute little marquis design filling in the background of the image by masking off the stamp first then using a template to sponge on distress ink in three coordinating colors.  Then I popped on some liquid pearls to add texture and depth.  I created a little side walk scene with the fence, bike and pumpkin ribbons.  Almost looks like the best night ever!  Don't you think?

Adding the great ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store and those adorable WOC mums just topped it all off for me.  I hope you enjoy it!
