Smile, You are a vision to behold

  I've found my foil, sequins and TLC Expression dies for today's projects.  You will find the YouTube video tutorial at the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VwJS45iEYI  channel but if you like to learn by step out tutorials, I've included a quick step by step instruction list to help you through the process.

 You've got to give this foil a try!  It adds the perfect little glimmer and shine to the simplest project!

Just LOOK at that foiled background!  Mod Swirls!  It's super shiny, intricate and simply marvelous on this card with just the TLC Expressions "smile" die and some embossing to finish it off! 

Step 1.  I use some Reactive Paint by daubing it onto the stamp very lightly with a sponge

Step 2.  Stamp onto card stock and allow it to dry thoroughly (be sure to wash stamp off immediately)

Step 3.  With a very hot lamination machine, place a shim paper down first in the lamination folder, then the stamped card stock (dried reactive paint up then the transfer foil with shine side up.

Step 4.  Run it through the laminator

Step 5.  Emboss your sentiment onto some vellum or clear acetate and adhere it to card.

Step 6.  Cut the TLC Expressions die and adhere it to the vellum and decorate with some embellishments!  

That's as Quick and Crafty as it gets!  The background is a visual pleasure and the die just puts a smile on your face!  The two products work really well together and each hold their own on a project!   Another mention of the sentiment that was embossed onto the Vellum was one of the Bits and Bobs stamps from the Growing Garden set in the store under the TLC Inspired collection.

Spring Love

Happy heart day!  Well, I know it's just a little past Velentines Day but it can be Love for any reason with this                                                 bright multi media water colored card.  Don't you think?

     Before I go any further with today's project, don't forget to join us at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog                                                                       this month for a chance at the Prize!

Today's project is on a watercolor paper base, I embossed a Love sentiment that I think is Large and Lovely from the Whimsy collection of the store and water colored over it to show the resist.  I used spring colors that would coordinate with the Love feeling of the card.

Then I broke out the new Hearts Plush Heart Memory box stencil and the Gesso to stencil a portion of the large heart over to the left side of the project.  I wanted it to be bumpy and lumpy and did so by adding some texture flakes and glitter.  Then I heat dried it so it would crack on the outside layer.  By doing this, the blue paint seeped into the cracks and gave it this beautiful texture.

Time to pull out the chipboard!  Wycinanka is a fantastic, elegant and intricate chipboard to use!  The store selection is magnificent too!  You'll not be disappointed when you take a peak around for what will accentuate your next project!  I Gessoes all the pieces, Air Balloon and heart arrow then watercolor painted them to coordinate.  Glittered them up a bit.  Added some flowers from my Creative Basics die collection and added a sentiment.  The sentiment, of course was one of my favorites from the TLC Expressions line at LDRS Creative.  The little hearts were used from the sentiment to add to the hot air balloon and the project was complete.

One of my favorites this year thus far!!  Join me in water coloring won't you?  It's a nice break from pen coloring.

7 Kids Sneak Peek

IT'S A SNEAK PEEK!!

You know and love the 7 kids college fund store as much as I do right?  I was so excited to meet up with Karen at CHA!  She's as delightful in person and she decided to bring some of the NEW products from the LDRS Creative store into the shop!  So in mid February, keep your eyes out for some great new products!

I'm giving you a few sneak peeks again today of the Sami-Swan Art-Z Stamp and die set.  Along with the Mod Swirls background stamp and some of the cute little additional die cuts found in the set.  The lower pic is the make n take from the CHA show!  It is a perfect example of how perfect the dies cut out these images.  There is an embossing folder used from LDRS Creative too.

The BRAND NEW TLC Expression DIES!  That's right, LDRS Creative has it's first set of sentiment dies I've created for you to get crafty with!  These aren't just your everyday normal word dies either!  Each of the words are decorated with sweet little bits that make your project pop with it's specialness!  Hearts, flowers, candies!  Your project will be like NO other with these dies! 

Today I've made a monochromatic colored project with the Heart Bouquet Lock-Itz die.  I've used a remotely heavy paper, using the instructions on the back of each of these die packages and created the "Locked" card.  Then I cut a second bouquet in vellum (both halves) and glued them to the top of the original bouquet locked card.
