Today's project was colored with pencils and no Gamsol.  I really wanted to try it without all the melting of the wax color melting lighter(not my usual medium).  The shirt was given a fluffy look with texture and softness.  The shading was done with my heavy hand but really made the bench realistic I think!  I've double cut the violet die in green and then in pink/purple, bent the leaves upward for texture.  I triple toned the butterflies in a tie die effect to give it that 70's feel.  Oh, and that really adorable Whimsy purse charm was just what it needed!  I know the pencils give it a different look and I still prefer copics but I love to play and that is what it's all about.  I used a new sealant and won't recommend it as it blurs some of the pencil coloring and I didn't have enough time to recolor.  You never know until you try right?
