Watermark ink with Stencil on Kraft

Happy Sunday crafty friends!  Today I've used my stencil design you can find exclusive in The Hedgehog Hollow October subscription box!  The box comes with over $100.00 worth of product including three stamp sets, stencil, the Double Dial Die, papers, brads and more!  It's while supplies last and limited so don't wait, they're going fast!

Today I wanted to simplify the Holiday card making process for the beginner card designer.  With a piece of Kraft card stock and the reindeer portion of the stencil, I dabbed watermark ink into the reindeer form and was sure to get into every nick and cranny!

I did have to mask off the reindeer from the other portions of the stencil so the ink wouldn't leak into snowflakes or other parts.  Then I drew a collar in gold and black ink and used a berry colored alcohol ink and designed three little berries at the back of the collar.  I used a white gel pen for the four dots on each reindeer back and tied some twine around the kraft paper with a bow.

A strip of vellum was cut, a strip of black card stock was stamped and embossed with white and adhered to the bottom for the sentiment section.

All that remained was to pop up the front Kraft panel and use the watermark ink again onto red paper from in the box and fussy cut another Reindeer to pop up onto the empty part of the banner strip.  Voila!  Done!  It's a 10 minute card!

 Until Next Time, Stay Crafty!

Alpaca Pals "Ooh La La" Puppy

Hello Crafty Friends!  My friend Kassi, a few weeks ago, colored and posted an adorable illustration of a Zebra that I simply fell in LOVE with!  I asked her who the illustrator was and I went shopping!

The illustrations by Tracey Hey are sketch like instead of single line drawings.  This makes them so gentle looking and sweet.  Sincerely, these images are just the most adorable I've seen in such a long time!  This little pup is called "Ooh La La" .

To create this project, I taped off a ribbon like section across the center of the card horizontally with some purple tape and used Distress Oxide inks blending from the Hickory Smoke to the Festive Berries to the Cracked Pistachio.  Then I used some water to create the droplet effect.

All that was added after this step was some glitter pen and a tiny bit of watercolor ink on the bow tie, eyes and boots!  That makes this a super simple project that I just adore!  Not to mention, I had a blast designing and creating it!  My mojo is coming back!

Happier every time I get to create!
  Until Next Time Friends,

The Best Day Ever

It's Tammy Louise here today to show you how to dry emboss with you die cuts!  There's a NEW You tube tutorial to show you how to create your own beautiful embossing with any of the LDRS Creative dies!
I used the Darling Squares die set and cut into some magnetic sheet.  I use magnetic sheet because it's just thick enough to make a great impression but not so thick that the dies won't cut through.
After cutting the magnetic sheet flowers and vines, I embossed with the cuttlebug with the same plates I would if there was an embossing folder and the impressions were fantastic!
I simply cut small rectangles from the embossed paper, adhered them to some black stock and applied them to my vellum base card that was 7" x 5".  Leaving just a small section of see through area for added design to this elegant but CAS card.  The sentiment is from the "Wishing You" collection and the die cuts were from some black design vellum for added color.

Non traditional Valentine tutorial

Early Happy Valentine's Day!  Today I made a video tutorial as a Guest Designer with Whimsy Stamps.  I wanted to create a non traditional colored romantic card that SHE could give to HIM.  Several of the products used have a more masculine feel to them to begin with but they follow a very romantic feel to them that brought this project together beautifully.

The video tutorial is available on my You Tube Channel here . . . . .

I had an opportunity to blend three water based inks together to color the project.  I used some wonderful argyle border and dot border stamps with a distressed blot.  The background stamps containing Love and Life and that wonderful Feather and Nib die. Watch how simple it is.

 INGREDIENTS:

"You" LDRS sentiment stamp (inside)
