Let's all hop together with the new artist at Whimsy Stamps and her designs "Time For Tea"  Jo Davies is the artist!  Windy Day is the name of this little cutie who has blown me away!!! lol
I've made a clean and simple design today with water colors again for that easy breezy fell of the wind behind her blowing the color around!.   I've paper pierced some DP that matched perfectly with the wooden button from Craftpon Etsy store, embossed at the top with some adorable buttons and used some twine!  It isn't one of my favorite design card styles but this really pleased me.  The simplicity but antique look of it with that perfect sentiment just made me smile!

Speaking of CAS, tomorrow the rubber DT will be showing you some great samples of CAS to add to the current challenge at Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog.  Be sure to join in on the fun and free stuff!

My New Design Trend with Really Reasonable Ribbon

10 more days to win one of three Shapeology Dies here!
Happy Tuesday crafty friends! I've been on a Clean And Simple kick this month.  I can't get enough of the little extras you can add to a card that are subtle and non distracting from the stamped images.  Today's clean and simple card was made with the beautiful Delicate stitched Satin Pearl pink ribbons and the August Ribbon of the Month Club "Jennifer"  lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Challenges entered:
Craft-Dee Bowz - include bow
Bunny Zoe's Challenge - Sparkle - Button, Gems/pearl
The image by Darcy's Diary was pencil colored in monotones with a touch of reds and some gold.  I'm a big on recycling and using every little piece of extra paper, ribbon, wooden buttons, and embellishments.  Once a year, I organize and make projects from my scrap box including today's project.  I used Bakers twine inside the buttons and a Prima key shaped paper clip for extra's.  Keeping it as simple as possible.  I'm increasing my stash of cards to send to candy winners and some of my favorite lady friends.  (wink)  Also, in case you didn't notice, it's not a shaped card but it's not 6 x 6 either!  Another kick for me this month!  Strange how my urge for creating changes every once in a while huh?
A little tip of the day with this ribbon, sometimes I can place ribbons and bows precisely where they belong and they stay perfectly!  However, sometimes, they want to lay crooked and off a bit, this is when I grab a silicone double sided dot and place it under the bow loops so they will lay straight and not distract from the point of interest.
More inspiration can be found on the Really Reasonable Ramblings blog, and 've been visiting the blogs entered in the current Really Reasonable Challenge blog and I have to say hoora! Ladies!  The inspiration projects have been stunning for the Pink and Brown challenge this time!  Keep 'em coming, I'm loving it!  And best of luck!

My Romantic June with Really Reasonable Ribbons!

My Current Candy till July 15th here

*************************************************

Let's talk "ROMANCE" today!  I've played with more of the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Red, White and Blue's!  Using Dies and Sentiments only today instead ad of coloring!  The fabulous Lighthouse , wave border and Seashell Elements Shapeology Dies from Whimsy Stamps were perfect for a lovely Sea Side view.  Three pieces of my favorite 5/8" Red w/White stitches were attached and gathered in the center with a tab of glue, then three pieces of the Stars on Electric Blue Grosgrain were cut smaller and attached then gathered in half.  I popped on the button in the center then tied a bow with some Jute String White.  I found a wonderful little Etsy store called Craftpon with the largest selection of designer buttons in all shapes and sizes the other day and wanted to share with all my fellow crafters!  You won't believe the selection!  The beautiful blue speckled buttons were a perfect match for today's project!
I created a sandy look to the scene with some Champagne Netting, then "framed" the card with some Natural twine, pushed some Jute String Cocoa through the lighthouse and ran a strip of blue ribbon through the lighthouse base.  The background waves were die cut from the blue striped paper and the negative of the cut was used for texture and design behind the white stock.  It's a red, white and blue heavenly scene of complete romance.  I just need a little wine, hubby and a camera!  lol
