Turtle Love

Happy crafting this cold and icy Monday!  I was able to manage getting out some of my multi-media supplies for this project!  The card started out simple and quickly grew into a delightful mixture of color and texture, to mix with this beautiful little Fairy! 

She is Turtle Love from the newest collection of "From the Hollow" fairies!  She's sweet, dimmply and full of love for her strong and wise turtle friend! 

I started with a spray or two of my new irresistible texture sprays, dabbed on some copper stain, sponged on some Airondac mixed inks.  Then with one of my favorite little tricks, I used some detail embossing powder and stamped on the word LOVE from the fabulous Love collection up and down and all around the page.   A bit of lace and ribbons and some lovely little petals and her and her best friend have happily found their new place!  

If you're up for a go at some mixed media but want to start small, this is the way to go! Enjoy crafting!

I Believe In Fairies

Merry Christmas!  Today is the day my Christ was born!  A gift for all of us!  Off my soap box now, promise!  My mom and I made 8 dozen cookies of all sorts yesterday, magic cookie bars, snickerdoodle sugar cookies, chocolate brittle and more!  Yummy!  My daughter and her fiance along with my sister and nephew are all going to Frankenmuth today for dinner!  For all of you un familiar with Frankenmuth, it's the Christmas village of Michigan.  Santa all year around!  It's a family tradition!  No one slaves over the stove, no one has to clean up and everyone enjoys a fabulous chicken dinner together!  I hope that all of you have found the traditions and times that make you feel the love and kindness of the season!  Stay well and safe this holiday and I will see you all again in 2015!

Today I've colored Tinsley!  She's a fabulous frosty little beauty from the From The Hollow Collection at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps!  It's a fairy new collection, (get it, FAIRLY new! lol)  It's quickly become one of my favorite collections to color, with all the long flowing hair and those squinting eyes and lovely fairy ears!  I adore Tinsley!  Today I've paired her up with the Darling Square die set to bring you a wintry scene in reds and whites!  These flowers are actually daisies but with some stickles and glittery brads they remind me of poinsettia's too!  and the white look almost like flowery mistletoe!

Good Crafty Day to you friends!  Today I'm sharing one of my favorite images from the *NEW* "From The Hollow" illustration collections!  Her name is Lucinda Joy!  She is a spunky and full of style little fairy.  She's obviously jumping for joy but with bright sunshiny colored wings and that flowing but spiky red hair, sh is sharing her joy with all of us!

I tried to create a little scene where there are loads of viny materials, leaves, ruffles and of course some terrific sparkle for her to play in.  I used a terrific sentiment from the Enchanted Wishes Vintage Affections collection which matched perfectly!  Hope you get a chance to color one of the NEW From The Hollow images soon and create your little scene!  Have fun!
