Watermark ink with Stencil on Kraft

Happy Sunday crafty friends!  Today I've used my stencil design you can find exclusive in The Hedgehog Hollow October subscription box!  The box comes with over $100.00 worth of product including three stamp sets, stencil, the Double Dial Die, papers, brads and more!  It's while supplies last and limited so don't wait, they're going fast!

Today I wanted to simplify the Holiday card making process for the beginner card designer.  With a piece of Kraft card stock and the reindeer portion of the stencil, I dabbed watermark ink into the reindeer form and was sure to get into every nick and cranny!

I did have to mask off the reindeer from the other portions of the stencil so the ink wouldn't leak into snowflakes or other parts.  Then I drew a collar in gold and black ink and used a berry colored alcohol ink and designed three little berries at the back of the collar.  I used a white gel pen for the four dots on each reindeer back and tied some twine around the kraft paper with a bow.

A strip of vellum was cut, a strip of black card stock was stamped and embossed with white and adhered to the bottom for the sentiment section.

All that remained was to pop up the front Kraft panel and use the watermark ink again onto red paper from in the box and fussy cut another Reindeer to pop up onto the empty part of the banner strip.  Voila!  Done!  It's a 10 minute card!

 Until Next Time, Stay Crafty!

Spring Love

Happy heart day!  Well, I know it's just a little past Velentines Day but it can be Love for any reason with this                                                 bright multi media water colored card.  Don't you think?

Before I go any further with today's project, don't forget to join us at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog                                                                       this month for a chance at the Prize!

Today's project is on a watercolor paper base, I embossed a Love sentiment that I think is Large and Lovely from the Whimsy collection of the store and water colored over it to show the resist.  I used spring colors that would coordinate with the Love feeling of the card.

Then I broke out the new Hearts Plush Heart Memory box stencil and the Gesso to stencil a portion of the large heart over to the left side of the project.  I wanted it to be bumpy and lumpy and did so by adding some texture flakes and glitter.  Then I heat dried it so it would crack on the outside layer.  By doing this, the blue paint seeped into the cracks and gave it this beautiful texture.

INGREDIENTS:
Time to pull out the chipboard!  Wycinanka is a fantastic, elegant and intricate chipboard to use!  The store selection is magnificent too!  You'll not be disappointed when you take a peak around for what will accentuate your next project!  I Gessoes all the pieces, Air Balloon and heart arrow then watercolor painted them to coordinate.  Glittered them up a bit.  Added some flowers from my Creative Basics die collection and added a sentiment.  The sentiment, of course was one of my favorites from the TLC Expressions line at LDRS Creative.  The little hearts were used from the sentiment to add to the hot air balloon and the project was complete.

One of my favorites this year thus far!!  Join me in water coloring won't you?  It's a nice break from pen coloring.
