Some of the easiest to use and create from projects are at Whimsy!  Yes, you heard me right!  Now you can buy this beautiful dress shaped digi file to use over and over again.  The project I'm sharing with you today is available at the Whimsy Stamps Store from the new Shape EZ digital line.

Let's make this lovely dress shaped card together in 15 to 20 minutes!
This project from start to finish takes about 15 minutes when the embellishments are ready to go and is such an elegant way to show someone you care.  This card is made with the "dress and swirl flower" files, along with the double border die and the baby die cutters from the shapeology line available from the Whimsy store.  This is one stop you won't want to miss!  Join me as I give you step by step instructions and walk you through this entire project!

You don't have to have a cutter, just choose to print from the PNG file you will receive with every download and hand cut the same project you see here.  All files are minimum 300 dpi and sent in JPEG,PNG,PDF and SVG and you will receive them zipped.  Quick and easy.

choose the size to cut your project with the SVG format and cut out the base (instructions included)

Choose your favorite DP and cut out the insert (included in the  zip file)  that will fit perfectly inside the base on PDF file

All the forms are ready to be assembeled

I chose to cut three different sizes of the swirl flower from the digital zip file on two different DP (flower is sold separately or can be combined with other purchase for a lower price)

prepare your favorite embellies

I chose to distress the DP insert page with Ranger Ink to create more contrast from the base

I combined a paper border from the Whimsy double scalloped border die cut with an elegant lace from my stash and wrapped around the insert dress shape

This dress has lovely incoves perfect for lace borders, I added ribbon from stash to finish off the dresses ruffle look

I rolled the swirl flower, distressed the edges (flowers aren't white at the edges hehe) then added a pearl to each

I rolled each leaf shape inward to create depth in the leaves

Distressed the rattle and added the Sentiment from the Raindrop Echo Design w/Whimsy "Pennant" collection and added the liquid pearls

goodness, gracious, it's the 15 minute marker and the project is complete

The charm is added to the cutoff rattle die cut and don't forget, I added some of the elegant ruffle lace to the designated (not just round) shaped sleeve area and the card is complete!

    The Beauty of Spring!

I've been going outside of the box a lot lately but today I thing I've gone right past the box and onto the floor with this one!  I've never done anything like it before but because this digi image is so open and whimsy and delicate, I didn't want it to be precise and defined so I went from digi image onto white paper to spotting Ranger Distress in in two different colors by hand with a distress sponge.  But before that I thought it would be an ideal look if the shape of leaves were masked off first.  So I played it by ear and went for it and in the meantime, I took loads of photos.  I hope you get inspired to try it and enjoy it as well!

I have to warn you, It's really messy!  But a ton of fun!
     "removeable" tape runner on leaves
spray from 8 inches to cover pad and combine colors
be sure to get close to leaves to enhance their shape
dry first then remove leaves and add highlight color

    Golden Bleach

This has been a great week!  Other than the power outage!  Three more invitations to craft shows before the summer is over and the annual Christmas/Holiday craft sale is reserved already.   Busy?  Yes, but I'm going to try to make Christmas cards for as many challenges as possible for the remainder of the year to prepare for the biggest card giving holiday!  Thanks for joining me again. . . I hope you enjoy today's project, being that it was very new for me!  Who new the Burgundy stock would bleach yellow?  I think it gave it a very rich lustrous feel!

In case you didn't guess, there is a new challenge beginning today at Sentimental Sundays Challenge sponsored by Raindrop Echo Designs and it's "Inky Fingers ~ Try a new technique!  Sounds fun huh?  It never hurts to broaden your horizons so I wanted to try the bleach effect.   I saw a tutorial on Stamp TV and imagined using up some of the old Stampin Up stock I've had for 10 years or longer.  I also used flock on the mittens and hat which I've never used before and instead of coloring with all copic, I dry distressed the boots, and snow suit to test out the shading abilities of dry painting.

On to the details of my newest piece of greeting art. But before I do, there is also a giveaway by the lovely and talented Antoinette I wouldn't want you to miss out on, so be sure and visit her.  Don't forget to hop over to for the new challenge and great inspiration.  I always love to see your projects!
