It's my turn to showcase one of the NEW April release Shape EZ templates (The Banana Card) with this adorable flower lovin green buddy from the 2 Cut Ink Stamp set called Sweet Froggies!  Great name huh?

So the Pretty in Pink challenge was easy to convert this banana template from the yellow ordinary color of the fruit to pink with the DP paper by Michelle Roos also available at the Whimsy Stamps Store today!

I cut the template on Cricut, colored up the froggie, framed it with some of my new Spellbinder dies, framed it with these lilly pad looking clover fies and the pond looking leaf from the Leaf Trio Shapeology die set.  I used some Distress Ink all the way around, popped a butterfly and some flowers on it and finished it off with the Whimsy Stamps fairy charm.  Too Cute huh?

A Die For A Sketch April! Oh, and Orange!

Goodness gracious I love orange!  I've come to the conclusion that this spring is going to be abundantly orange/coral and red!  Well, I suppose there are worse things that could happen?  (like the local store running out of flowers)  lol!

Today, I've made a card for the April sketch at A Die For A Sketch that just brings me a grin!  Of course every time I get to use some of my favorite orange ribbon from the RRR store.  They have every type size and color of ribbons you could use on any project.

So let's get down to it, shall we?  The challenge half way point is today so you still have 2 weeks to play along.  Just keep in mind the rules!  Simple!  Use a die and follow this month's sketch.  That's it!  Easy right?

Last month I demonstrated how to curl flowers made from my punch in the Sticker Store and More card class in Taylor.  It can be a bit tricky to get them wound just right.  So the project I made with it is a book mark with the adorable Kitty from the Love and Hugs stamp set available at Whimsy Stamps Store by 2 Cute Ink.  Simple but very fun and they make great gifts!

Getting ready for Easter?  It's early this year and I've decided to make some pillow boxes loaded with candy for the Holiday hunt at church and instead of plastic eggs, I decided to glitter up a package and make it extra special.  The Button sentiment is decorated with some glitter or magic fluid and the papers for the boxes are pre glittered lovely little coordinating stock.  I used the same paper for the Daisy Doily card that flips open.  The circle was lined with the new Tulip stamp from Monika, then colored and glittered to match.  Love this little Hula hooping critter too!  Just too cute!
