Key In My Garden

Key in my Garden

I made a card just for me today!  Just because I wanted to color while sitting through a movie with my family after a wonderful spaghetti dinner!  It was, of course, a move that was action packed, and mainly for men seeing as how my girl has left me with all men in the house! lol    So nothing lost, I got to hear them say "OOh! and Ahh, that's gotta hurt"  while I colored this little lovely with my Copics!
Challenges entered:

All of you crafty card makers that know me out there, know that I'm a very busy girl designing dies, SVG cut templates and still coloring up some DT work for my teams!  But usually I don't have the time to put into work that I don't have to do.  This was one of those special ocassions where I found this Mo image on my desk looking super lonely and uninked and I had just purchased some terrific little flowers, butterflies and yes even some resin items from Angelica's perfectly posh little Etsy Store.

Purple Petalicious!

I just love every opportunity to say Hi to all my friends and family!  This is my third hello this week as a matter of fact!  My moms Birthday was yesterday and I only got to call her being that she is in Florida and all.  I really miss going out with her for her birthday.  She spent her birthday with Dad and my brother Brian's family this year and reports that the cake was good and so was the class ornament flower they gave her!  The really good news is that she got her card and loved it.  Thank goodness!  I thought for a while there that it was lost in the mail!

Before I get onto my card today, I wanted to let you know that another challenge is starting today at Diva's by Design.  Our last challenge was a HUGE success with hundreds of projects, and I hope this one is the same!  Come by and join us for a challenge of "Pastels"  sponsored by Crafty Emma.  Please stop by for both inspiration from our lovely and talented DT team and a challenge, I can't wait to see your projects!

This was out of my normal because I'm a bright orange and red kind of girl.  Super light colors are very rare under my glue runner.  I added the flower soft in her basket, hair and the petals she is leaving for the Bride to feel beneath her feet on her way to meet the groom.

Also, I found the cutest little silver wine glasses as an embellishment from the dollar store . . . can you believe that!  Twenty four $1.00 . . not a bad find! huh?

Because this is for a wedding, I added a ton of lace, those beautiful dried Angel wing flower petals and tons of pearls instead of entire flowers so the flower girl held all the cards!

Golden Bleach

This has been a great week!  Other than the power outage!  Three more invitations to craft shows before the summer is over and the annual Christmas/Holiday craft sale is reserved already.   Busy?  Yes, but I'm going to try to make Christmas cards for as many challenges as possible for the remainder of the year to prepare for the biggest card giving holiday!  Thanks for joining me again. . . I hope you enjoy today's project, being that it was very new for me!  Who new the Burgundy stock would bleach yellow?  I think it gave it a very rich lustrous feel!

In case you didn't guess, there is a new challenge beginning today at Sentimental Sundays Challenge sponsored by Raindrop Echo Designs and it's "Inky Fingers ~ Try a new technique!  Sounds fun huh?  It never hurts to broaden your horizons so I wanted to try the bleach effect.   I saw a tutorial on Stamp TV and imagined using up some of the old Stampin Up stock I've had for 10 years or longer.  I also used flock on the mittens and hat which I've never used before and instead of coloring with all copic, I dry distressed the boots, and snow suit to test out the shading abilities of dry painting.

On to the details of my newest piece of greeting art. But before I do, there is also a giveaway by the lovely and talented Antoinette I wouldn't want you to miss out on, so be sure and visit her.  Don't forget to hop over to for the new challenge and great inspiration.  I always love to see your projects!

Tang Soo!

I have a very special card for the new Sentimental Sunday Challenge "Anything Goes" and a sentiment!  Aren't they just the best!  You get to enter all of those very specific cards that pretty much serve an occasion that is out of the ordinary!

Well. . .  my son is getting really close to his black belt in Master Collins' Tang Soo Do and I needed to get on the job of making a special congrats card for when he does . .(not to mention my need to use this fab new image from Mo Manning too!)

I found this great sketch in a submission call at Crafting Ireland, (Fabulous new Ezine, and noticed the simple layout and the 6 stripes needed and immediately thought of the 6 belt colors prior to getting your black belt!  Obviously this project didn't win, or I wouldn't be showing you all, (hehe).  Oh well, there's always next time!  I tried the swirly sewn look on this (Not as easy at it looks).

I Used a scanned patch from my sons dobach and edited it as you can see behind the boy image!  Isn't it great all red, blue, green and black just like some of the 6 colored ribbons are symbolic of the 6 belts before black.

I intend to make a smaller version of this as a 4x4 card for parents to give to their children when they get promoted as the moms and dads have asked over and over again!

Recapping Arizona!

I wanted to share with everyone not only the graduation cards I made for my neice, but also the reason for a 4 hour flight west, four hour drive straight up a mountain and a four day trip without my crafting/computer and family unit.
Daughter and I first day in Phoenix mall!
Had to show you the mountainous trip!

The Nana's (my mom's) present grandchildren
including the HS Grad on the right!
My brother and his first grandson!
Four Generations

There were four generations gathered in Arizona and my brother and his first grandson met for the first time!  This baby is the best smiler ( you just say: "Smile" ) he loves it!
Also, when I got back it was Memorial Day and my Hubby and Son were in the Memorial Day Parade!
Both of the cards were created with portions of the announcement sent from Arizona, the school name was used, the year, the schedule on the MO Manning image card, and the purple ribbon on the bottom of the clear page card with the Whimsy image.
The photo's are not good because no photo tent, no regular camera, you know how it is.  The iphone did ok!   So no challenges entered but thought I would share anyway.  Who knows!  Could inspire someone!
Challenges entered into: Ladybug Crafts ~ make your own embellishments
projector shee cover
My new grad image in school coolors
