On a Daffy March!

The end of October nearly!  My girl turned 20 and the boy is 15 this year!  Ugh!  Did I jut admit that?  Happy Birthday to both of them and today's card resembles the occasion.

Like I've said for the better part of October, I couldn't wait to get back into the mojo of making several cards a week with every theme possible.  The process keeps my creative juices flowing and without it I struggle so much more!

Today I'm getting back into the challenge swing with Sentimental Sundays.  We have a fabulous sponsor this week at Heart Song Designs and we want you to take and make something inspiring from your birth flower!  Did you know you had a birth flower?  Well, my birthday is in March and it turns out the Daffodil is for me.  So I've taken some inspiration that I first found in a tutorial on ScrapBitz blog.  I don't color flowers often and I wanted to give it a go.  With the Copic alone I couldn't seem to get the shading I wanted but then I added some Distress ink and liked the outcome much more.
There are always some free sentiments offered at Sentimental Sundays challenge sight and this week is Janne's choice so I hope you enjoy them and play this week with us all.  Be sure to stop in and say Hi to the DT as well.

On to the details of my card:  We want to see your Birth Flowers

Hi ya! He says!

Good morning to you all!  Well today is Tuesday, well I guess you might already know that, however,  This Tuesday is the first time I get to share with all of you my debut Teddy Bo Design Team Card!  I know, I know, no way did she just fulfill 1 of her top goals she set out to create internal perpetual happiness!  Oh Yeah!

My goal was to find three stamp artists that I love to create with, some how earn or deserve to get on and stay on their design teams, learn, share and live happily ever after!  Well, Teddy Bo, from the second I saw my first, has been one of those teams and today I can announce that I have made it my third greatly desired and attained DT!  So excited! (pinch)  Yep, it's real!  There is a challenge starting today and we want you to share:

Your Favorite Color

Challenges entered:
Anything Goes ~ Die Cuts or punches
Karens Doodles ~ Favorite Animal
Papertake weekly ~ Anything Goes
Sweet Stamps ~ Anything Goes
Fab n Funky ~Die Cuts & punches
Little Darling Challenge ~ Fall colors and leaves
My Mum's Craft Shop ~ All creatures great and small

Below are 7 of the newest creations available today at the teddybo.com sight and there are loads of other images as well, like the cute little giraffe and the fabulous elephant too!

So, for the next 2 weeks, over at the Teddy Bo Challenge, grab your favorite furry little friend and do it up in your favorite color and share it with me and the rest of the DT's.  We all adore visiting your blogs and leaving a hug or two!

Now on to the details of my little lovely fur ball!  My hubby and teenage son, who's birthday is 10-8 (ooh only 4 days!)  are both in karate and love it.  So I chose to surround him with my favorite colors rich reds and oranges and because of the position he is in, it reminds me of a perfect photo op, so I added some film strip, and the karate (looking) weapon and put it all together with some terrific fall leaves and a red belt.  Actually Hubby tied the red ribbon on my project from behind the card just like he puts his karate belt on 4 nights a week!  It was kinda funny to watch, but he did a bang up job by comparison to what mine looked like.  hehe!

Quick Christmas Card and DT Call!

Well, as I am just as limited on time every once in a while, just like every one else, I needed to make a card that was my third within 1 day's time.  Tomorrow is my 8th craft sale for the year and I know they are going to be looking for Holiday cards to send to Grandma or Uncle Tom over seas and their going to want it to me special.  I needed about 20 of these, but I'll do with what I have accomplished.

So it's a easy one, but I think colorful and has just enough personal touch to be Handmade by TLC (and all that that intales) hehe!

Before I get started, there is a DT Call at Wags 'n Whiskers for you to check out with today's challenge post. We will be looking for 2 DT from the UK/Europe area and 1 DT from the USA/Canada for a 6 month time period.  Our challenge starting today is:

A Dragons' Gift

It's Friday!  Woo Hoo!  I have another class tomorrow with Angie Hunt and Sunday I hope to go to the Apple Orchard with the twins!  I hope it stops raining long enough to enjoy some cider and donuts on a horse cart ride through the orchard.  It's sort of a tradition, since both my children are October babies, we go to the orchard/petting zoo and enjoy the changing trees and family time.

I have a card to share with you today with Jiggy and some of the Dragon Designs digi paper too!  I adore him!  It doesn't seem to matter if he's on a beach, covered in fairies or camping with his pop, the color theme and design always comes together so well when it's with Jiggy from Dragon Designs!  This one is no different.  The card was made to have the appearance of a Christmas gift box just waiting for the grand opening ceremony on Christmas morning!  I paper pierced the presents, made the ornament shiny with dimensional liquid, the wings are angel like with flower soft, I used photo corners to frame the picture like a gift tab and sewed all 4 layers of DP's.  I simply adore this "Gift" card!  hehe

NEWS FLASH!

The OCCUPATIONS challenge sponsored by  Bugaboo is still going strong over at Stamping with the Dragon Challenge blog and I hope you get a chance to pop in and play!   Also, there are some changes a happening real soon so keep an eye out int he store for some new products and maybe even more!

Dream while you Read!

Welcome to my spot this chilly blistery day in September!  My boy started High School yesterday and he survived!  The best thing is he gets 70 minutes of study hall as a class!  So, "maybe" less homework!  I can only hope!  Well enough about me, on to the real goodies.

There is a challenge starting today at the Divas by Design Challenge Blog!  We want you to create a project of your choice with the

"Back to School"  theme

We are sponsored by CraftySentiment

If you ask me, she's looking out to find her way around the world and her first prospective location is PARis!  But first, she's going to read up on it and maybe learn some French in school with the bookie mark! hehe!

So, the funnest part of this card is the stretch choker with the magnetic bottle cap!  Yep, you heard me, interchangeable bottle cap that magnetically attaches to the choker whenever you want to change it up!  It was actually a request by a craft sale patron and I couldn't wait to get them started, should be a huge success at the school cafeteria on September 17th.

This has been a great week so far, so thanks for joining me, don't forget to hop over to Divas by Design for both the new challenge and inspiration from a very talented DT! You have a whole week to enter so join us for the fun!  On to my little creation:
