This month's Ribbon Monthly Club Assortment has some beautiful Spring colors with beautiful texture and design too! Not to talk about the lace! Yummy! I hope that you will join us today and hop along! The assortment is available now in the RRR store. If you really love ribbon and would like to have a wonderful assortment of ribbons sent to you automatically each month, just join the Really Reasonable Ribbon Club! Monthly ribbon club assortments are selected and pre-packed to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 5-9 different ribbon styles and consists of 10-15+ yards of ribbon. You will love that little surprise every month in the mail, trust me! Tell Bonnie you heard it from Tammy Louise! Most of all, have fun!
Let's see what I've done!!!
A bit of explanation on how this project was constructed, cut the ribbon of choice into 1.5 inch strips, apply some tacky glue, fold them in half and I clipped them together to dry.
After covering the paper mache bodice with Guesso and Ranger Vintage Photo Crackle Paint, and mesh, the surface was ready to begin placing the dried loops in a repetative order all the way around the bodice so that the loop hits the surface of the table. Each layer from the bottom up is placed so the bottom of the loop covers the previous layer at the top of the ribbons. I did three rows up and went around the bodice with a contrasting ribbon then added three more layers in the same fashion.
Using two different size flower punches I punched 125 of each flower, layered the smaller flower into the center of the large, bent the petals upward and added a gemstone to each.
Under each layer of ribbon, I added some pearl drop string from my stash and some white leaf ribbon
The finishing touches, after the flowers were used to create the paper bust line, were some Tim Holtz baubles on the jewelry pegs and a Tim Holts knob at the top.
The little note card was made using the same process and I added the Shape EZ Pedestal tag, Pearl slides from WOC, a crystal button and a perfect sentiment from Raindrop Echo Design.
