Die Cut Embellishment that look Acrylic

Does that look like a real acrylic button to you?  It does to me!  But its a die cut from design paper!!  Tammy Louise is here to share this fun technique with you!

I started with adhering some double sided adhesive sheet to the same design paper as used on the book mark (the best part of this technique!) rubbed in some glitter after cutting the die and removing the paper from the button top revealing the sticky part and dp beneath it and then rounded on the edges to create a beveled look.  Then the part that really makes it look acrylic is when I covered in a thick layer of glossy accents!  I ADORE this embellishment idea and LDRS creative has the perfect line of Creative Basic dies that when glittered and glossed up, become exquisite embellishments that will match PERFECTLY to your project!

If you too learn easier from video tutorials, I'll show you how I accomplished the process at the LDRS YOU TUBE CHANNEL so stop by and check it out!

White Recollections photo frame book mark

Copic Sketch Markers
Wild Honey and Pickled Raspberries Distress Ink
Momento Black ink
White gel pen
Black copic pen
EMBELLISHMENTS:
Recollections Washi Tape

Presents All Around!

Happy Thursday everyone!  It's Tammy Louise sharing a special little project I've made with a perfectly sized canvas and easel set I found in Hobby Lobby.   I wanted to make a gift that would set on either a little shelf or right next to a jewelry box on a little girls dresser!

I like this second colored easel with the Derwent Inktense pencils better than the Shop Till You Drop easel I colored with Ranger Distress because the colors pop a bit more but the soft look of the Distress Ink is beautiful as well.  I guess it's all what each artist prefers!

The Candi Bean images have fabulous flowing hair to color, but those adorable faces with a great amount of room for the cheeks is my favorite part!  This image has an adorable little friend sharing his package with Penny and he is simply adorable as well.

I used some white ink to offset the hair piece and some glitter to bring a sparkle to the project too!  Great fun to color!  I sealed it with Krylon workable Fixitive and placed the canvas on the easel!  Easy Peasy!  I hope you get inspired to work with canvas as these images work perfectly with it!

INGREDIENTS:
Penny's Presents Candi Bean Image
Canvas and easel set from Hobby Lobby

 MEDIUMS:

A day when such friends were to be made

Hi Crafty Friends,

My family and I went to the Annual Renaissance Festival in Holly Michigan this past weekend!  It's a time to enjoy the old festivities of the day while experiencing everything from face painting, jousting and chowing down on turkey legs!  They have shows galore, fun little skits, people performing throughout the walk through the festival and the SHOPS!  My word!  They have some beautiful things to look at, admire and buy to take home for yourself!
Hubby was attacked by rogue nuns!  collecting money for breast cancer!  It was Drench the Wench game!

Yes!  I tower over her too!  Apparently there aren't a large number of tall artists! lol

I met up with the fabulous Whimsy Digital Artist Charity Dauenhaur again this year!  The most adorable Fairy images!  You can find her artwork at Fairydust Images.com or you can color some of her digi's at Whimsy Stamps here!  You all should just see the beautiful artwork she colors and sells as prints of all shapes and sizes and this year her store had beautiful jewelry and more!

I even got an original print!  Courtesy of Charity!  I only hope she knows how much I truly appreciate this gift!  I'll always hold it close!  Her FB page was inviting help to name this image and I thought it would be beautiful to be called Captain Morgan and she chose my name!  So how fitting to get a gorgeous print of Captain Morgan of my own!

Charity is such a doll and her and hubby work very hard to bring artful beauty to us every year at the festival.  It's a permanent stop on my route!
Such a beautiful addition to the shopping area!

THIS IMAGE IS NOT COLORED BY ME BUT WATERMARKED FOR THE ARTIST PROTECTION

STUNNING!  She is such a talent!  I'm so lucky to have her as a life long friend!

I just wanted to share some of the little things we did and saw

This is the type of garb I would love to wear!  Someday!

Collecting the DEAD wagon!  They have people walking through the streets all day like this!~  A real hoot!

Die Winner !!!! and Premium Bags teamup project

All the way down to the bottom of today's post for the winner!

My goodness, has it been two weeks since my last post?  I've lost track of time with the grasp of Spring dangling over my pocketbook!  It's almost time to get that annual refund from the big guy again and I've got my Pinterest board loaded with some real needs (and a few wants too).  The worst part of it is I've got dozens of posts just waiting to publish and still go two weeks! EEK!  Time to get back on track!

Today I want to share a great little project that was super simple but very elegant and affordable.  It makes a perfect little spot for my new Kindle and Wacom Bamboo tablet too!  I never want to add them to my purse or camera bag because they have cords that always get so tangled!

This was created for the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine which you can find here online for free, just click on the cover.
