Noor, Tilda and Dexter!

Good day friends and thanks for joining me!   Were you aware that not only can these corners glitter up and embellish around your focal point, but they can make a wonderful dimension behind as well?

INGREDIENTS:
                                                                 Mid French Lilly Die
                                                                   French Lily Corner
Tilda and Dexter Magnolia stamp
Magnolia design paper
Strawberry Cheese Cake 2 Scoops Bazzill stock paper

Nestled behind the focal image, I created a backdrop of the Mid French Lilly Die with nine cuts of the edge of this die.

 MEDIUMS:
Ranger Distress Ink
Peeled Paint on die cuts
Stazon black ink

I popped the focal image up with pop dots and then placed four of the French Lily Corner on the pre- cut rectangle that's holding my image.

A bit of color sponged on the embossed section makes it pop! Then a bit of glitter to shine!

You can see the layers under the focal image here the best!  An adorable way to create a die design even with the smaller dies!

EMBELLISHMENTS:
Offray Ribbon
Butterflies,Pins and clay frame from Angelica's Etsy store The Little Scrap Shop
Snow Tex liquid
Tone Pink Crysanthemums
Pink Set of Mix flowers WOC

Thank you for joining us today, sure hope you get the chance to visit the Noor Design U.S. FB page soon for loads of beautiful creations!

Share the behind my scene cards

Hello Everyone,

First I want to start by saying;  This journey of mine is not going to be one that merely consists of promoting or selling of products.  This is of course a large part of what I believe makes my journey more enjoyable and even inspiring!   However, I too learn with every mistake, color choice, technique and design!  I am a firm believer that the day I stop learning and/or have the desire to learn and share is the day I will stop blogging and sharing all together!   So I have decided to try to share some behind scenes in my artistic journey with you too!  Yes I take loads of classes and have tons of projects that you never get to see . .  but that stops today.

I create my projects with the skills that I learn from inspiration, getting a really inky, and instructed classes.  Yes, sometimes these projects are not perfect or without flaw, but I don't attend courses or classes to come out with a perfect card!  I go to learn something new, take in what other artists have to share and walk away with real pride in having made sure that I did this increase my knowledge and be more informative with the different products I use. . .because I cared enough about my craft to get the knowledge!

So. . . I have decided to share with you some of the projects that have come out of my classes with Angie Hunt,  or ScrapGirl, as you may know her.  Her class has taught me so many different things, I can't begin to express my gratitude but I can show you what I've learned.  Such opportunities are rare and I consider myself very lucky for them.

One other thing,  I will not have the usual amount of detailed information from them as I would normally but if you are truly interested in the ingredients of a particular project, Angie's original post of each card is available for reference as well and I will "try" to link to them for you.  I hope this inspires you to keep your journey especially yours and share "ALL" of the things that enrich it for you even if they aren't picture perfect!

Disclosure:   This entire project, paper, stamped image, embellishments and design have been created by Angie Hunt for the purpose of sharing technique and methods in her monthly card class.  The only addition which I contributed to her design is the actual coloring of this image.

Magnolia Image and Raindrop Echo Design Sentiment, Copic markers
I'm not sure if this was my very first project in this class, but it was really early for sure!  In this project I learned:  The application of measurements for a symmetrical card, the flicking of grass from under the feet into and over the feet and also, I had never flicked the B0000 series of copics from the image line to the outer frame of an image.  Thank you Angie for allowing me to learn from you, you're such a talented artist and I love visiting and socializing with you and the rest of the lovely ladies.
Turns out it was posted in March 2011 by Angie here
This type of post really lets me play with the photobucket's new graphics editor toys too!  I feel like I never get a chance to do that!  Busy Busy Busy, Always learning something!

A new project for me with Magnolia!

Heart Song Designs is the sponsor for today's challenge with Sentimental Sundays this weeks

"Step out of your comfort zone with anything new"

Not a huge post today, however,
I did want to take this opportunity to share my most recent project from my card making class with Angie Hunt "Scrapgirl" just a while ago!  The entire design and color scheme and everything else was done by Angie, the coloring is mine but, well, I go to the card class to learn to make things and as I practically begged her to show me this bookmark I thought I should share it!  I was thrilled when I found out she was doing one!  This was SUPER simple and really elegant and delicate!

The Image is from Magnolia and it was a mini!  Boy. . .  they are TINY! Details can be found on Angies blog.  I learned how to make black hair look black and got to use the new copic color G20!  LOVE IT! I sure hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it.  I added a Sentiment to the back that wasn't part of the original project, but every project deserves a note, don't you think! hehe

Sentimental Sundays is Challenging us to make a card or project using something in our Gardens + Sentiment!  Sounds really simple!!  Then you actually have to think about your garden and what is in it!  Not a lot of my generation even plants a garden!  However, I never go through a summer without my favorite Herbs!   I dry them out and store them for all year but to use for this project, I wanted the labels and pics from the labels so I used store bought herbs.  I used some 3L envelopes, labels from store bought herb jars, and illustrated again just how easy this was.  You'll notice a still inky thumb too, the last project was really fun to do... but that stuff just won't come off! lol

Today my "baby" brother celebrates his birthday!  He lives in Florida and I am unable to visit but I was sure to leave a message on Facebook for him.  Probably one of the first because it was about 2 am when I left it!
