Here is my project today:

Hi ribbon lovers and all of my lovely followers,

It's time to HOP!

It's a warm and colorful fall day in October and I created a Christmas Card for a dear friend using some really nontraditional colors to do it! The Really Reasonable Ribbon October Ribbon Club Assortment is where you can find these gorgeous bright and coordinating ribbons!  Aren't they just the cutest?  The stripes and tree prints are to die for and the lime greens and watermelon pink mixed with the turquoise are indeed very nontraditional but make for a very light and cheery holiday card right!  Wouldn't you just love to get something like this in the mail and post it on your wall at Christmas time?  Me too! lol

I just covered the front section of the card with each one of the ribbons in the club this month horizontally. Then I used a sheet of paper in the same size and die cut out the hexagons.  I used some beautiful thread to frame it with and glued some cut off bulbs to decorate with then put the bottom of the bulbs in the center of the adorable little buttons.   Just a bit of my eclectic feel to the card.  I used some twine and made intersections in the face of the card to give it even more texture and color.

INGREDIENTS:
All of the October Really Reasonable Ribbon Club Ribbons (list is lower)
Everyday Honeycomb Sentiment by Raindrop Echo Design
Georgia Pacific 100 lb paper
DP inside Winter Blues by Michelle Roos
Honeycomb Die Set Shapeology Die

 MEDIUMS:
Studio G pigment ink

 EMBELLISHMENTS:
Bakers Twine available in loads of assortments at Really Reasonable Ribbon
Really Reasonable Ribbon October Ribbon Club Assortment - Non Traditional Holiday Color Mix
Trim a Tree Bulbs

Buttons Galore & More color blends buttons "Cherries Jubilee and Blueberry Pie

My Circle of friends hop for Bev!

I wanted to include my announcement of the Wee Candy winner for the Whimsy DT guest designer spot on the Wee Stamps Blog recently held today as well as share the hop with you all!  So the winner chosen by random.org is . . . . .

Thank you so much all of you for playing along!  Renee, please contact me at tlccunliffe@yahoo.com and let me know which type and name of image you would like and I'll forward that on to the lovely Sylvia Zet for you.  Be sure to join me again for the monthly Whimsy Shapeology Die candy this month during the release!  Best of luck!

Hi everyone and welcome to our
Circle of Friends blog hop
especially for our dear DT member and friend
Bev Rochester

Unfortunately, Bev has had to take a little break from crafting over the past few months due to ill health. We are missing her here at Whimsy and want to let her know that we are thinking about her and wishing her a speedy recovery.

Even though the Whimsy family is scattered all around the world, we have come together as a circle of friends to show Bev our love and support by each making her a card.

Although this hop is for Bev, we do hope you will hop along with us to support our wonderful teammate and friend.  If you arrived here from Shanna's blog, then you are in the right place! If you've happened upon this post by chance and would like to hop with us, hop on over to the Whimsy Stamps blog to begin the hop.

For my creation, I decided to ink up ... "Little Flower"  The lovely newer image by Elizabeth Bell from Whimsy stamps

I played with my new Spellbinders dies on this project for Bev, such a sweet and inspiring craftier that I've had the privilege to work with for a few years now.  I remember the first time I visited her blog and found all of those fabulous tutorials on coloring and my very favorite cloud template to use with my copic airbrush system.  Thanks Bev for being so inspiring to me and all of the hundreds of other crafty folks looking for help!  I hope you get back on your feet soon but please take your time and get well!  Miss you friend!

So now it's time for you to hop over to ...Denise Lynn's blog, the last hop stop!

Finally, here is a full hop list in hopping order:

So On to my project:

I used the lovely NEW Under the  Mistletoe Girl and Under The Misteltoe Boy Stamps today for my first holiday presentation card!  They were masked just at the mistletoe to appear that they both want the other to kiss!  They are just too darling!  I went outside of my comfort zone and created a holiday card in light muted colors and a Shabby Chic feel.  Loads of embossing enamel was used inside the image area to envelope around the two love birds for a romantic touch.  Also, I think I'm in love with the little chipboard hearts too, they have color ready spots in them you can add a touch of color to to match your projects as you can see with the green lines through them!  Aren't they fabby?  Hope you enjoy!
