Steam punk Christmas

Mama Bear Gayle over at The Teddy Bo Towers asked me to try a Christmas card with Steam Punk designed graphics from her the Fairy Doodler.  I've never done any Steam Punk design but my feel for it is a Victorian aged hard core Robotic industrialized design that sings of steel, brings a old fashioned color combination and mix it up with a sexy burlesque woman feel.  Then I added a flower that was distressed to give it a Holiday feel with the metal poinsettia like corner leaf and the Holiday Sentiment.    Whew!  I think the satin sash and flourish flowers add a Spritz of New Years too!  This was fun to try, but after seeing some real experts in Steam Punk I know I have a lot to learn.  This isn't the only technique  I need practice with so "keep moving forward"  as they say.  I hope you enjoy it and at least it inspires you to try one!

Whimsy Release with Meljen in Orange

( of courst dark red and oranges are always my favorites).  The snowman is such a light colorless image it needed to be a full contrast.  These felt trees were perfect for the post it note holder.  I've finally made my first one, been waiting to do it forever!  The Sentiment matched perfectly, the little bulbs on the trees were a combination of dew drops and plastic snow flakes that I also created the pin with pearls added.  If you look really close, you can see the postage seal in the red DP too!  These were perfect little accents I found in my Stamp set Holiday mini postage stamps from Raindrop Echo Designs w/Whimsy.

Halloween Yummies with Whimsy Release!

Hiya everyone!

So behind the scenes, I make dozens of treat boxes and or tags, totes and bookmarks you don't get to see.  Usually for special occasions like Valentines Day, Halloween , showers or craft sales and today's project is one of those occasions.  I was asked to make a package for the most recent craft sale that could be raffled off and I decided to make these gift packages and I put them together in a basket.  I made 2 dozen of them and took a picture then when I went to get them from the camera, I couldn't locate them, so I made one today again (obviously a very simple project) and created this post.

I love creating with the Sentiments from Raindrop Echo w/Whimsy, they are extremely versatile and can be combined for a ton of purposes.  This project, for example, is a combination of a previously released bottle cap image and die with a word extra from the new Holiday Banner Pennant sentiment set just released this month.  I hope you enjoy it and it helps you keep in mind that even the littlest stamping project can have a large impact!

A Wee bit of Silver on a Sneak Peek then a Hop!!
